The Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit business organization which is
supported by investments and volunteer services of our members.
The
chamber serves as a voice of business to promote a positive business
environment in our community through cooperative efforts with local
governments and the other community organizations such as the Jim Wells
County Master Planning Association and the Alice Industrial Foundation.
Major public and private partnership initiatives include: Alice & Jim
Wells County Economic Development Council, Alice & Jim Wells County
Transportation Committee and Leadership Jim Wells County.
By joining the Chamber, you will help us become a
stronger and more effective organization in order to build a bright future
for our community and our children.

The Alice Chamber of Commerce mission is to promote
economic and community development in Alice, Jim Wells County and the
surrounding trade area.

Objectives
The following objectives have been established by the Chamber's Board of
Directors:
- To encourage and advance the growth of existing industries and
businesses.
- To provide all proper assistance to any new firms, professionals or
individuals seeking to locate in the Alice area.
- To serve as liaison with all government, civic and education entities,
and law enforcement agencies in Alice and Jim Wells County.
- To increase our membership and provide quality service for our members.
- To identify and assist in obtaining funding to accomplish the objectives
of the Chamber of Commerce
Business
Plan
Each year in order to accomplish the Chamber's objectives, the Board of
Directors establishes several challenging programs, activities and special
events which are included in the annual Business Plan. The Business Plan is
implemented under the direction of the following divisions:
> Membership Services Division
> Economic Development Division
> Civic Division
> Convention & Visitors Division
> Communications & Technology Division
